NAS Encrypted Backup

A privately operated backup connection that stores encrypted copies of the owner's NAS files in the owner's Google Drive account.

What the connection does

The NAS uses restic to encrypt backup contents and metadata before upload. Rclone transfers the encrypted repository to Google Drive. Backups support recovery of the owner's personal and business records after a local device failure.

Google Drive access

The connection requests the Google Drive drive.file permission. This covers files created or explicitly selected through the connection. It does not request general access to every file in the account.

Access is private

This website only describes the backup utility. It does not provide sign-in, access to the NAS, file downloads, or a public backup service. The backup repository is not shared publicly.
